Tan Sri Dr Ahmad Tajuddin Mohd Ali has
been appointed Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia
chairman effective Feb 16.
Ahmad Tajuddin succeeds Datuk Hamzah Hasan, who has been named Malaysia Highway Authority (MHA) chairman.
Ahmad Tajuddin also serves as chairman of the Board of Directors of UEM Group Bhd, UEM Sunrise Bhd, PLUS Expressways International Bhd, Linde Malaysia Holdings Bhd and Energy Commission of Malaysia.
Prior to these appointments, Ahmad Tajuddin was the Standards and Industry Research Institute Malaysia (SIRIM) director-general, before being appointed as chairman and chief executive of Tenaga Nasional Bhd and later became chairman of Gas Malaysia Bhd.
Meanwhile, Hamzah served as CIDB chairman from January 2011 till Feb 11, 2014. Earlier, he was the CIDB chief executive for eight years from 2003 till 2010.
