SGS- Industrial – Drilling Equipment Inspection is ramping up to suit our clients schedules in the Oil and Gas industry- We need Trainee and fully qualified Inspectors, Site Supervisors, Area Managers that know the Oil and Gas game and know the OCTG testing and certification business. We need suitably qualified and experienced people and we need them now.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We now have opportunities available at our remote Roma, Adelaide, Moomba, Perth and Dampier sites, You chose and we will get you there! In this autonomous position you will be responsible for the execution of NDT inspection on Drilling Equipment and related activities in UT and Eddy Current techniques to Level 2.
Other responsibilities include:
- Train existing Level 1 technicians to perform at highest level
- Prepare and compile reports
- Ensure that equipment in maintained in a serviceable condition and calibrated
- Monitor resources so that customer’s needs are met in a safe, accurate and timely manner
- Ensure that proper safety procedures are followed
- Be compliant to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
- At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Ideally we are seeking applicants with:
- Qualifications and demonstrable experience in NDT Inspections to AINDT Level 2 (Advantageous)
- Thorough technical knowledge of relevant standards such as UT II, Eddy (current) Phased Arrary, MPI II, LP II, DS – 1, API Knowledge of Drilling Equipment and Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG)
- Fork Lift Licence (Advantageous)
- Sound interpersonal skills.
